August 18th today??? Where did the summer go????
Well, Mike and I went to 5 different blues festivals this summer. We traveled quite a bit and saw some amazing Blues acts. We first started out for a one day event in Minneapolis MN. It rained but it was still a great day. Next, we left the country and saw the Thunder Bay Blues Festival. It was fantastic. We were home for two days and then we left for Sioux Falls South Dakota. It was a Jazz and Blues Festival that we really enjoyed. One week later we left for Grand Rapids for the newly relocated Boundary Waters Blues festival. Mike managed the bar and I ran the hospitality, back stage area. We worked harder in that week of "vacation" then we do all year long, call us nuts but we loved it and can't wait to go back next year. Nine days later it was the start of Bayfront Blues Festival. The weather was not great for it but we enjoyed the last of our vacation days.Now that life has settled down just a bit; well for me anyway, I promise I will start back with my posts. I will soon give you more details about our trips and add some photos from some of them. (my blog is called Crochet Blues after all.) I am also starting a new job at Yarn Harbor. I am very excited about working there and helping people choose yarn and answering questions.
